If the Alde Compact 3030 heater is not working, there could be several reasons for this. Here is a step-by-step guide to solving the problem.
1. Gas-powered heating
- First, switch on the Alde heating system on the control panel. A small LED lights up on the power button: if it lights up green, the system is working properly.
- Check that the heating system is set to gas as the source. Gas must also be selected as the priority in the menu. Set the maximum electricity to 0 kW.
- Make sure that the gas sources are open.
- Set the room temperature to the desired temperature. This must be higher than the current temperature, otherwise the heater will not start operating.
- If required, switch on the hot water. If you only want to heat, switch off the hot water so that the heating system can heat the rooms more efficiently.
- In the menu settings under “Service Information,” the boiler and sanitary temperatures should now rise slowly.
2. Electric heating
- Establish a 230-volt connection by plugging in the shore power.
- Then switch on the Alde heating system. A small LED lights up on the power button: if it lights up green, the system is working properly.
- Check that the heating system is set to electricity as its source. Electricity must also be selected as the priority in the menu.
- The maximum electricity (kW) is based on the amount of shore power available. If there is not enough shore power available, the rest is used from the auxiliary batteries. Activate the inverter for this purpose. Alternatively, compensate for the missing power with the help of the gas supply.
- The distribution of electricity can be interpreted as follows: 1 kW of heating power requires 5 A of current, 2 kW requires 10 A, and 3 kW requires 15 A. In electric mode, the heating system can therefore draw a maximum power of 3 kW. In gas mode, approximately twice the power can be drawn.
- Set the room temperature to the desired temperature. This must be higher than the current temperature, otherwise the heating will not start operating.
- If required, switch on the hot water. If only heating is required, switch off the hot water so that the heating system can heat the rooms more efficiently.
- In the menu settings under “Service Information,” the glycol and water temperature should now slowly rise.
